Tawna Bovero, PTA

Tawna grew up in Utah and moved to Cheyenne in 1992 to attend Laramie County Community College where she was enrolled in the Equine Studies program. Later she realized she needed to stop “horsing around” and get a more “stable” job. Hah!

She began working for Avenues Therapy Clinic in 2006 as a physical therapy aide and transcriptionist. She was inspired to earn her physical therapist assistant degree, so moved to Colorado to complete more schooling; returning to the clinic as a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant from 2009 to 2015.

Tawna is back with Avenues Physical Therapy Clinic part time. She feels like she has returned home. “This is where I started in the physical therapy field and the physical therapists at Avenues Physical Therapy are wonderful to work with. The entire staff here is like a family to me.”

Tawna finds it rewarding to work with all types of patients; she especially enjoys working with the geriatric population.

She is an outdoor enthusiast and loves being active. Her hobbies include running, swimming, biking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and paddleboarding. She also enjoys riding horses, hiking, camping, fishing, and gardening.
